ISMMS purchased devices (including Apple Laptops/Desktops) must be enrolled in the Microsoft Intune/Company Portal to gain access to MSSM.EDU email, calendar and collaboration tools off the MSHS network.
After your migration is completed, you can always access o365 email and calendar on your personal computer without installing Intune by using the web portal at portal.office.com along with Mount Sinai two factor authentication.
Five steps to installing Mac Outlook & Intune:
The steps below are required to access emails off network via mail applications.

STEP 1 - Confirm Requirements
Confirm laptop is 10.14 Mojave or higher
Enable FileVault
STEP 2 - Install Intune
Click here to download Intune: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=853070
Open downloaded package (bottom left of screen)
Click “Allow” to confirm download.
Go to Download folder and double click to install the app
Continue through dialog boxes: continue > agree to terms of software license continue > install
STEP 3 - Enroll Intune
Go to Application folder
Launch Company Portal
Sign in if prompted > Begin > Continue
Enter VIP Symantec code if prompted
Download "Management profile"
STEP 4 - Download "Management Profile"
The introductory screen will be shown to let you know what Mount Sinai can see or do when you enroll your device.
Click "Download profile" to begin installation process
After completing these steps there will be up to a 60 minute delay for the compliance review to occur after Intune enrollment on the Mac device. During this period if e-Mail /OneDrive /Teams access is needed, please use the web-based (outlook.office.com) and O365 portal (portal.office.com).

STEP 5 - Wait and restart
You will see the screen below showing the device is in a compliant state. Please restart your device. You can then launch Mac Outlook to access email.
If your device is in compliance with the Intune policy, you should now be able to launch Outlook on your Mac desktop and access your cloud mailbox without any issue.
